New exhibition: School Daze. The school I went to as a kid has been shut down and is about to be demolished. A fine day not too long ago I went back to the school for the first time in (counting on fingers) 13 years.
I took a stroll on the school grounds and in parts of what used to be my home town. Although the abandoned school and the town had obviously changed it still made me remember a lot of things about my school days and about growing up.
I brought back some photos for my digital shoebox. These photos tell a story of my School Daze.

Marc Steinmetz Photography is online gallery of the month in the Agfanet Newsletter.
They say: "Science is a sober affair - but if you take an unbiased look at its work, it can sometimes have qualities more reminiscent of pop. That's the way photographer Marc Steinmetz captures biochemists or polar researchers. And it's not only since "Indiana Jones" that archaeologists following in the footsteps of Jingis Khan have offered exciting motifs. The unusual photographic ideas continue under the heading "Holocene Witnesses", where artefacts from the 20th Century are presented in the way the archaeologists of future generations will see them. The ritual significance of fossilised fly-swatters will probably give rise to a few questions when that day comes!"
I say: Nice work, but those eyeballs are scary!!!
Btw. there's a fun competition on the Agfanet website.

I'm glad to bring you a brand new exhibition. In my corner of the world the padlock is almost extinct as a general entry-prevention tool. In other parts of the world the padlock is still _the_ way to lock something (or someone) up. As you will see from this exhibition no two padlocked places are alike.
"Padlocked" is an open exhibition so if you want to show what's padlocked in your world? Check out the submission guidelines!
