In a post S11 world it seems the right to take photographs is under assault like never before. We've all heard the story about the photographer who was confronted by authorities or fellow citizens while photographing people, places, buildings, boats, airplanes, or whatever. Sometimes, in a situation like this, reason alone is not enough - so knowing your rights can come in handy. Attorney Bert P. Krages, author of "Legal Handbook for Photographers: The Rights and Liabilities of Making Images" has prepared "The Photographer's Right" a downloadable flyer with an outline of your rights. If you're photographing in the US you might want to keep this handy.
