Danish photographer Tao Lytzen doesn't really have anything on his website. Maybe that could be because he is busy working on his idDK project. Every day of this year Tao will take a photo trying to capture the Danish identity anno 2003. Danish newspaper Berlingske Tidende has an article (in Danish) about the photographer and his project. Those of you who don't understand Danish should just click on dates on the right to see the images that he has produced so far. Here's a quote from the interview (my translation). Tao is asked how he selects which ideas to photograph: "By asking; "Is this a Danish moment?" it will be the Danish identity as I see it, I have a special photographic expression. But I will try to be very open. Photographers often have a certain idea of what works photographically - where the good photos are. I must distance myself from that. The good photos will come. It is just a question of looking at things that wouldn't normally be worthy of a photo. [...] The aim is to make a historical document about Denmark. 20 years from now you can look back and say: This was Denmark in 2003."
I'm really looking forward to seeing how this photo project develops. Excellent idea that requires a hell of a lot of persistance to be a success!!!

*** WARNING *** The link featured here contains EXTREMELY strong war photography! I almost lost my breakfast when I followed the link on K10k to Peter Turnley's photo essay "The Unseen Gulf War". I'm no fan of this kind of photography and I could only stand to go through a few of these photos before closing my browser window. Still, it serves as a not so gentle reminder that war is always, ALWAYS bad!!! Have a nice day!

Tuesday 21 January 2003 Daniel Cianfarra Photography is NOT your average photography site! Daniel shows his beautiful work on an equally beautiful Flash site. I particularly like the lean-back-and-enjoy presentation style of the "Human" and "d" sections!

London-based photographer Adam Lawrence has some great photography on display - particularly in the Portraits and Music sections.
